The design recommended construction of identical 750-student high schools for grades 9-12.
Both Page and Luray schools will feature 500-seat auditoriums, 1,150-seat gymnasiums, and cafeteria/food service facilities that will accommodate an immediate enrollment of 750 as well as future expansion to 900 students. Both schools are also designed to incorporate six “shell” classrooms as a bid alternative.
The classrooms will accommodate anticipated growth, with build-out to take place as needed, a highly cost-effective way to plan for the future.
Recommendations for bid alternatives also included the construction of auxiliary gymnasium/wellness areas at each new school to provide additional physical education space as well as much-needed community recreational facilities.
